Water liters = flow rate × shower minutes × showers per day × days.
Display values are rounded for readability. The calculation uses the entered numbers before display rounding. Whole-unit outputs use the rounding rule stated in the method.
Know your inputs
- Flow rate (liters/minute) — Accepted range: 0.01 to 1000000.
- Minutes per shower — Accepted range: 0 to 1000000.
- Showers per day — Accepted range: 0 to 1000 in whole numbers.
- Days counted — Accepted range: 1 to 366 in whole numbers.
A worked example
Illustrative inputs: Flow rate (liters/minute): 8; Minutes per shower: 7; Showers per day: 3; Days counted: 30.
